Setup for using with traditional needles, “Inky” is very versatile and will allow you to use a wide range of needles for both lining and shading by adjusting the voltage and stroke length. A great lightweight daily driver for clean single pass lines and saturated filling / shading.
This setup includes an o-ring on the armature bar that allows your machine to have three different settings by changing the impact screw settings.
1 – dis-engage the impact screw so that it no longer makes contact with the frame and the machine will have a soft hit with less noise
2 – engage the impact screw so that the o-ring makes contact just before the impact screw and the machine will have a medium hit
3 – engage the impact screw so that it makes contact with the frame before the o-ring and the machine will have the hardest hit
You can quickly and easily adjust the stroke by turning the knob on the rear of machine. Just loosen the locking screw on the left side with 2mm allen key and then turn the knob to the right to lengthen the stroke or to the left to shorten the stroke.
Inky has been tuned to reduce skin trauma while still having a strong enough hit to use for single pass lining.
Oring has been added on the armature bar to reduce noise and to provide a little softer hit, by adjusting the impact screw you can adjust the settings so that the impact screw makes contact before the oring and the hit will become stronger. This gives you many options for adjusting the machine.
Use only high quality hard grommets. Do not use soft silicone grommets.
